LERA LYNN & BOBTOWN (co-bill)

If you're seeking to define Lera Lynn's music, that will not be an easy task. The Nashville-based, Georgia bred singer songwriter is most often defined as "Americana" or "Country", but that only tells half the story. You can hear hints of Patsy Cline and Gillian Welch as well as contemporary singer/songwriters like Paula Cole and Fiona Apple.

The Individual writers have come together seamlessly in Bobtown to create distinctive original songs that fit comfortably under the "Roots" umbrella, but often incorporate elements of other musical genres. The first thing people notice about Bobtown are the harmonies, then the songwriting. And finally, the body count!

THE KENNEDYS

Co-Bill Featuring

Ryan Tennis &The Clubhouse Band

El Caribefunk

The charming authenticity of Ryan Tennis' soft on the soul sound leaves the listener with a comfortable feeling of time well spent with an old friend. His singable melodies and disarming lyrics have drawn comparisons to Paul Simon, James Taylor and Amos Lee.

Ryan's 7 piece band plays positive, upbeat groove oriented singer/songwriter music, and is in regular rotation at nationally syndicated 88.5 WXPN.  He was a recent winner of the Philadelphia Songwriters Project Contest, he was nominated as Origivation Magazine’s Singer/Songwriter of the Year.

August 20

STEPHANE WREMBEL

He’s been called “a revelation” by Rolling Stone. Woody Allen recruited him to score the theme to the 2012 Academy Award winning film Midnight in Paris, and he performed live during this year’s Oscar’s telecast. To say that French-born guitarist/composer Stephane Wrembel—who learned his craft among the Gypsies at campsites in the French countryside—has already had a remarkable career would be an understatement.

THE VooDUDES

What is this voodoo that the VooDUDES do? Well first you gotta make a Roux!!!Then add in some New Orleans funk, blues, boogie-woogie and honky-tonk. Add a pinch of Zydeco, Southern soul and Caribbean party music and let it simmer 'til it's real thick. In the vast VooDUDES library of original songs, nothing is sacred. Whether it's imploding the hits of Hank Williams into the ultimate drivin' and cryin' songor eulogizing the Southern jazz funeral, The VooDUDES do it all--and with a beat that will make you move your feet.

August 27

Special Guest: TUMBLING BONES
